As a Senior Product Manager – Operational Planning, you will be responsible for building a platform – Index – to boost standardisation and automation of Maersk Operations whilst simplifying the operator experience so we can consistently deliver on our customer promise.

This year, we are further enhancing the MVP (Minimal Viable Product) launched in early 2024, to build a foundation that can scale and support all Maersk shipping operational processes by end of 2026.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to join our team based at our Copenhagen site.

As one of our Senior Product Manager ‘s– Operational Planning, you will work closely with key stakeholders in Operations and other product managers (both in the Operational Planning team and other teams) to develop a shared vision and roadmap for the tech-enabled operations of the future and reimagined operator experience.

Key Responsibilities –

Additionally, to the duties above you will be responsible for -

• Evangelizing the Index product vision and drive the Index roadmap.
• Work with UX, data analysts, engineering team and other colleagues to collect and derive insights through qualitative and quantitative methods to inform the product strategy and roadmap, ensuring we are solving the most important problems to deliver the business outcomes needed.
• Together with UX and Tech, design and test the solution prior to development to ensure we build the right thing.
• Provide input to architectural thinking made by engineering.
• Manage product and business metrics to enable performance management as well as data driven product development.

We are looking for –

• Good business acumen and an ability to think both strategically and tactically.
• As a product manager, you will ascertain underlying business needs and the solution, not based on asking stakeholders what they need, but by gathering quantitative and qualitative insights to derive what the underlying problems are and the business outcomes which need to be achieved.
• Experience in Agile/SCRUM software development
• Able to manage a complex stakeholder landscape in an international enterprise and communicate effectively depending on the audience
• Record of accomplishment in successfully managing a platform which enables other products or a complex product with inherent dependencies
• Established record of transforming business process through tech, driven by a focus on delivering the targeted business outcome.
• Resilience - ability to work in a fast-moving environment or under ambiguity.
• It would be a great bonus if you have experience in container line operations or developing technology to enable the operations in any industry.
