What we can offer
As a Vessel Manager you will be the main interface between the shoreside organization and your designated vessel(s). You will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient execution of daily operations and maintenance scopes in close collaboration with vessel management team and shoreside departments. It is vital that you demonstrate clear leadership and the highest standards in relation to the promotion of safety, compliance, and protection of the environment.

Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Ensuring vessels are operated and maintained in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Maintaining highest possible technical availability of the vessel in close cooperation with the Vessel Master and Chief Engineer.
  • Planning of technical upgrades, modifications and major vessel maintenance works in close cooperation with the Technical Maintenance team.
  • Working in close cooperation with Marine HR on all matters related to the crewing of the designated vessel(s) including recruitment, appraisals, personal development plans, and promotions.
  • Planning and managing vessel budgets in accordance with requirements of authorities.
  • Approving of Purchase Orders for technical and operational items required for effective running of vessels.
  • Lead incidents and non-conformities investigations and define preventative/corrective action plans in the event of failure(s) in cooperation with relevant parties.
  • Developing and maintaining relevant procedures compliant with statutory requirements and industry guidelines.

Proactively finding solutions comes natural to you and your approach to the tasks is cost-conscious and pragmatic. You are furthermore disciplined, well organised with good time management skills.

We think you will be a good match if you:

  • Have a background in marine, offshore and/or offshore construction operations.
  • Experience with Wind Turbine Installation Vessel (WTIV) operations are an advantage.
  • Knowledge of and competence in Microsoft-office and general knowledge of planned maintenance system.
  • A high professional level of English, written and spoken.
