About the job

As Head of Early Engagement, you will drive the early engagement and pre-tendering process across Falck from lead identification to tender release. Through local country teams your role is to ensure the identification of stakeholders, identification of needs and the consultancy of building the right tender process for the clients.

In Falck, you will be working with a highly specialized organization that provides reliable, safe, and efficient ambulance and fire services to the global market - Within early engagement you will help improve our ability to identify the clients’ true pain points, understand the most important decision stakeholders and consequently allow the bid team, which is also part of the Commercial Excellence Department, to develop individual solutions tailoring the specific needs.

You can look forward to:

  • Pipeline Management: Manage pipeline reporting in Falck’s CRM system in close collaboration with each country. This entails working with countries to identify and select potential targets and subsequently develop a roadmap for the individual pursuits.
  • Market Understanding: Stakeholder mapping of key influencers and decision makers for each country. Conduct analysis to improve understanding of local country market dynamics. Ongoing and specific competitor analysis. Evaluation of previous tenders to understand Falck’s position in the market.
  • Influence Tender Criteria: Work to impact tender criteria to make requirements more favorable to Falck. Work to influence decision making at both administrative and political level. Support local countries to defend existing and unlock new areas (prevent insourcing of contracts and unfavorable local tender legislation).
  • Unlock tenders: Develop collateral, method, and playbooks convincing clients to put their “evergreen” contracts out to tender.
  • Sales-specific Action Plans: Develop/support action plans for key opportunities in collaboration with each country. Perform customer analysis and develop value propositions. Evaluate need for Political Engagement and Executive Engagement. Ongoing follow-up with each country on Action Plans.

About you We are looking for an experienced commercial leader with an international track record in leading complex sales efforts and processes in large organizations. Since most customers are public entities, experience with Business to Government sales and public affairs is preferred.

As such we believe the right candidate has relevant experience in:

  • Tailoring bespoke solutions that address clients' specific complex requirements and challenges.
    Relationship building and mentorship: Excel in building and teaching others to build strong relationships, fostering trust and collaboration.
  • Effective communication and achieving goals through persuasive communication and diplomatic approaches.
  • Driving organizational success through local engagement -Empowering local peers to excel through coaching, nudging, and trust-building, challenging the status quo and pushing boundaries.
  • Collaborating confidently with diverse cultures and personal styles, fostering effective teamwork.

About us

You will join our Commercial Excellence Department in Copenhagen, to become our new Head of Early Engagement within our Ambulance and Fire services. The department is a diverse team of 15 dedicated commercial experts within commercial project management, contracts management and pricing. The daily language in the department is English. However as most of our clients are public entities such as municipalities, provinces or regions throughout Europe and the United States most of the actual client dialogue is in local language. Therefore, a smooth collaboration between local and global functions is essential to our success – as such, there will be some level of travel activity (around 25 days a year).
