The position
As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a key role in identifying and implementing initiatives related to environmental sustainability and business development, delivering tangible impacts to our organisation and the environment. You will act as a change agent, ensuring that we spearhead significant steps toward achieving zero environmental impact, while fostering a culture of empathy and understanding. This position is based in the Novo Nordisk headquarters in Bagsværd, and your presence in the office is required, with remote work being an infrequent exception.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with colleagues including C-level executives to develop strategies and plans that align with our environmental and development goals.
  • Act independently, solve problems with limited guidance in navigating organisational complexities to push initiatives through corporate antibodies.
  • Develop compelling business cases for environmental sustainability initiatives and business development opportunities, showcasing the potential benefits and ROI, and effectively communicating complex ideas and concepts.
  • Build relationships and influence diverse stakeholders to gain buy-in and support for initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of initiatives, monitoring project progress and proactively mitigating risks and issues, while fostering a collaborative and empathetic team environment.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior colleagues.

Qualifications
You hold a Master's degree in Business, Finance, Environmental Sciences, or a related field with at least 4+ years of experience from a corporate incubator team, start-up/accelerator or similar, in a corporate environment where the development of innovative ideas is brought to execution. Additionally, a proven track record of delivering tangible impacts through initiatives you have brought to light and experience building compelling business cases, analysing data and presenting a compelling case for change.

  • Ability to act independently and thrive in ambiguous situations, taking ownership of initiatives and driving them to successful completion.
  • Stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence diverse stakeholders.
  • Expertise in innovation, developing business opportunities, and project management, with the ability to effectively plan, execute, and monitor initiatives.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities.

It is an advantage to have:

  • Environmental sustainability experience.

As an individual, you have a can-do attitude, and are self-driven, structured, and an excellent communicator. You can easily adapt to changes and work systematically, logically, and proactively with a results-driven approach. Furthermore, you are robust and capable of handling a high-paced and complex work environment without losing oversight and motivation.

About the department
Business Development & Support is part of Corporate Facilities with around 300 colleagues from countless professional fields make up Corporate Facilities, which is anchored in the area Finance, Legal and Global Solutions. We enable Novo Nordisk to focus on the core business by delivering simple and agile solutions for physical infrastructures (campuses, real estate, utilities, workplaces), facility management services as well as security operations, while progressing a major project portfolio.
