Job Description
As the Construction and Facilities Manager, you will be leading the Construction and Facility (C&F) team for Denmark, Norway and & Iceland. You will work towards aligned and cross-functional goals, driving omni sales performance and customer centricity in all parts of your work, closely with the Regional Head of C&F to set the strategy for the markets. Together with the C&F team in the sales market you secure a complete store lifecycle focus including investments, long-term cost, quality, sustainability, and compliance.

In this position you will lead a skilled and professional team composed of Project Managers, Facilities Managers and NCG Responsible to drive goals and set targets to secure long-term strategy for Denmark, Norway, and Iceland. You collaborate closely with Regional Head of Construction and Facilities and the local Expansion team to set and implement the strategy in your market.

Key responsibilities including areas such as:

  • You distribute projects and service scope workload to the team taking into consideration project complexity, size of service scope, opening dates and geographical/logistic aspects.
  • With the support of the Regional Procurement Specialist, you are responsible of the procurement strategy in your market, securing sufficient partners to enable expansion, service delivery and optimize overall investment and cost levels.
  • You drive negotiations and budgeting process in targeted direction with business case behind each project.
  • You secure that the long-term regional strategy is reflected in all procurement and sustainability activities by working closely with your team members.
  • Secure that projects are managed in a professional way and ready in time, with expected quality, to the best cost, in a sustainable and compliant way.
  • Drive alignment of quality expectations for stores and projects within the market and secure that the service scope delivery is meeting brand requirements and cost expectations.
  • Secure health and safety for all projects and stores.

Qualifications
We see that you have a strong business mindset, communicate well and you are comfortable in making decisions. You have skills that allow you to work strategically, planning ahead and foresee opportunities and improvements. As a person you are analytical, methodical, and cost conscious. You enjoy teamwork and effectively collaborate with a group of diverse people to achieve set goals and targets. You have a good understanding of the construction, facilities, and real estate market and secure that all processes in the market are optimized and adapted to local needs/risks.

Besides your personality we see that you have:

  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience from Facility Management, Construction and/or real estate, preferably within the retail industry. And with 3 of those years in leadership position with team responsibility.
  • Have a good understanding about technical installations (such as HVAC, Fire Safety systems, electrical installations etc.), procurement, health & safety, facilities, or construction management techniques.
  • Degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, Architecture or Business Administration or equivalent work experience.
  • Any certificate within the Project Management, Construction or Facilities field is meriting.
  • Experience from working in an international, matrix organization with several stakeholders and seniority levels.
