Then we’re looking for you to join us as Strategic Buyer Indirect Procurement in Hørsholm!

Your challenges

The VELUX Group is a global company with manufacturing and sales operations in more than 40 countries. As our new Strategic Buyer, you will be part of our Global Finance and Performance Management organization and get to work on a wide variety of indirect categories. Joining a team of 11 skilled procurement colleagues, you will report directly to the Regional Procurement Manager and you will be based at our head office in Hørsholm.

Anchored within the Global Finance Organization, you will be part of Global Indirect Procurement and gain the advantages of an indirect procurement team and the shared global strategy. Global Indirect Procurement has a high professional bar, shared data systems and performance metrics to support you.

You will become commercially responsible for indirect spend including negotiation on behalf of the organization. You will act proactively to understand the local and global business needs and requirements and ensure involvement and a link to Global Indirect Procurement for sourcing alignment with both internal business stakeholders as well as the Global Indirect Procurement organization.

More specifically, you will:

• Utilize and also develop the levers of negotiation with intangible/commercial vendors to ensure effective use of regional resources
• Develop procurement KPIs and benchmarks for regional spend to drive an optimization mindset
• Drive Global procurement KPI’s and ensure compliance with procurement policies, strategies and procedures
• Participate in category strategy development and deploy category strategies regionally
• Drive and support change management regionally
• Drive RFI/RFQ processes aligned with global strategies and within local- and global policies and guidelines
• Align master data requirements with Centralized Business Service function (VPI) as vendor responsible for the suppliers within your area.
• Cultivate enduring engagement with multiple stakeholders

Your qualifications

You are known for your adept interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders from various levels, recognizing their needs and navigating through differing priorities and agendas. You maintain respectful interactions and have an innate ability to cooperate, adept at maneuvering within a global organization, harmonizing patience with the motivation to make progress. You thrive in a complex, international environment and know how to act local but think global. Additionally, you possess an analytical mindset and solid problem-solving skills and you enjoy utilizing data and metrics to sharpen performance.

Moreover, you:

• Have a commercial or other educational background at master’s level
• Have some years of relevant experience e.g. from procurement, project management or alternatively sales and a profound motivation to work in indirect procurement
• Are an experienced negotiator
• Speak and write English at a professional level
• Are experienced with Excel and PowerPoint
• Optionally have some experience with SAP and SAP ARIBA – not a strict requirement
