What’s the role about?
As a Data Engineer, you will be a part of the Data Enablers department within Product Supply data Foundation.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement data pipelines using Azure stack to collect data from various production systems for unified accessibility across edge and cloud applications,
• Ensure security, high availability, and data integrity while designing and implementing solutions,
• Collaborate cross-functionally with architects, security teams, end users, and stakeholders to ensure product suitability,
• Guide the team in implementing best practices for data engineering and contribute to Agile events within Agile teams, such as sprint planning and review,
• Participate in end-to-end activities from technical concept definition to solution maintenance and operations,
• Design and implement optimal Azure Data Infrastructure and Delta Lake House, while engaging in software development activities including coding, reviewing, testing, and documentation to build stable and scalable data pipelines.

In this role, you'll serve as a trusted advisor, offering technical expertise on various projects for our business partners. You'll play a key role in improving technical architecture and solution integrity, collaborating with architects to ensure consistency. Additionally, you'll engage with end-user representatives to ensure the usability and functionality of the technology.

Which competencies to bring?
The ideal candidate for this position should meet most of the following requirements:
• A master’s degree in computer science, engineering, chemistry, biology, or other relevant fields,
• 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer within IoT and OT in a manufacturing space, preferably within regulated industries,
• Solid understanding or hands-on experience within Azure – For example: Azure Synapse, Stream analytics, Data Factory, KQL, Azure Data lake storage Databricks etc.,
• Strong understanding of containerization principles and experience working with Kubernetes for deploying, managing and maintaining workloads that runs on the edge,
• Experience working with SQL, Python or C#, Data Warehouse Experience, Big Data Analysis, building CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps, Agile Methodologies,
• Strong mathematical, statistical, and problem-solving skills coupled with excellent communication skills and strong English fluency.

The team waiting for you
You will be part of Data Enablers department within PS Data Foundation. Data Enablers department is responsible for continuously developing, scaling, and maintaining global production data platforms. These data platforms are designed to efficiently extract and standardize data from both production lines and IT/OT systems used in production processes. In Data Foundation, we strive to empower our colleagues in Novo Nordisk Product Supply to make data-driven decisions, continuously digitalize, and improve manufacturing processes. The team is very diverse both in terms of capabilities and background, with roles spanning from product owners, scrum masters, architects to hands-on data engineers and developers, and people from 15 different nationalities.

We are currently located in Ballerup and part of DD&IT – a global community of 3000+ colleagues, driving digital, data, and IT. DD&IT partners with the business to support digital transformation and innovation in all parts of the Novo Nordisk value chain – from idea to patient.
