Now, we start implementing our next generation IT stack across TDC NET – which includes building a brand-new Data Platform and a Data Governance program. But that doesn’t mean we are starting from scratch! We already have Data expert teams in all business areas - either supporting the Transformation through ML/AI, or delivering key financial reports, or data solutions assisting the teams on the field, or supporting our great customer experience. So we have a great commitment to simplify working with data for all our colleagues – by focusing on improving data quality and data integrity, both within our business analytics but also within our IT systems.

This position can either be based out of our office in Copenhagen or Aarhus.

About the job
What You'll Do Every Day
As our new Data Governance Consultant, you will join us in the Data Office, part of the IT Organization.

You will partake in further developing and rolling out our Data Governance framework across multiple transformational programs, and you will have an important role in defining the Data Governance strategy and shaping our first data domains pilots. You will have an opportunity to really instill a data-driven culture, identify and define how we work with our key data assets.

You will also support us in growing the team, both in numbers but also with the thought leadership – where Telco domain knowledge is key. Your experience will enable other data governance team members develop in their roles.

In your day to day, you will

• Implement the strategy for Data Governance as a key enabler across transformational programs
• Drive the adoption of data ownership and steward roles, responsibilities, and the right engagement with the business units where these roles will be performed
• Understand the data quality needs specific to business areas, defining the key metrics based on impact and be part of implementing them
• Partner with leaders in the business and with data experts to establish the governance for our business domains (including data quality and data governance policies and practices for data management), and run the feedback loops needed to get to accuracy and reliability in enterprise data
• Support the development of the TDC NET data catalog, where we document our data models, data ownership and data lineage
• Work closely with our Data Privacy team and collaborate on topics such as data ownership and data classification
• Be part of a wider community of data experts working to implement the TDC NET Strategy

About you
Who you are

• Proven history of one or multiple Data Governance roles, or within Data/Business Analytics, or Master Data Management, in an enterprise setting or similar
• Ability to build relationships with stakeholders and establish well-run data domain forums including senior leadership members
• Background in working with complex business processes that span multiple business units
• Hands on experience & strong opinions regarding database management systems, SQL, MDM systems and tooling for data quality & data management
• You’re a self-starter, that likes to take charge and deliver initiatives end to end
