The job
We are looking for someone to join our team responsible for architecting the core system running at the edge. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the relevant processes. You will work in a dynamic environment where your expertise will help ensure that our customers get the best possible product that they deserve.

We value the privacy of the patients being monitored by our systems. Therefore, we designed it to process all sensitive information at the edge, without streaming any sensitive content to the cloud. You will focus primarily on the software running on these devices as well as the architecture around it. Due to the nature of this work, we expect you to be comfortable with computer vision tasks.

We are looking for someone who is not just a builder but also a visionary with extensive technical capabilities. We expect you to help us improve both the accuracy and the reliability of our systems. The ideal candidate is an engineer who is highly organized, responsible, persistent, and creative. We need someone who is able to dig to the bottom of issues and propose and implement solutions to address them. Given the criticality of the role, you will often find yourself as the last line of defense against crashes and crucial bugs. Your role will be key in ensuring the stability of our product, thereby directly impacting the experience of our users.

On top of your core responsibilities, we expect you to be passionate about our company-wide objectives and values. At Teton you will be

• working on developing the edge perception systems written in C++,
• building scalable test pipelines,
• responsible for the reliability and accuracy of the edge systems,
• taking charge on tackling emergent bugs and issues,
• improving the software deployment pipelines and carry out deployments,
• working on optimizing the performance of the processes.

We expect you to

• have technical excellence in C++ with a proven track record of production ready contributions,
• be comfortable with Linux systems,
• be able to write performant and clean code for resource limited edge devices,
• have experience with IPC protocols and MQTT,
• be able to reason about and implement solutions for a computer vision application,
• be responsible and show interest in testing software,
• be familiar with GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipelines.

We appreciate if you have experience with

• AWS services and/or Pulumi,
• GStreamer,
• Python and Typescript,
• Grafana and OpenTelemetry,
• C++ dependency management and CMake,
• Debian packages.
