About Us:

At ROICO we are developing a collaborative painting tool using robotic technology. We empower painters with a solution that works alongside them allowing them to focus on the high-value and value-creating tasks. This tool will help painters strengthen their business, reduce physically demanding tasks, and address the rapidly increasing labor shortage. We make robotic solutions that work together with people.

Your Role:

As a Robotics Engineer - Navigation - Intern, you will be at the forefront of improving our SLAM stack. Your responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

• Work with data from LiDARS for autonomous in-room navigation
• Work with path planning and painting movement optimization
• Improve our SLAM stack and work with nav2

What We're Looking For:

• 📚 Relevant (ongoing) education, ideally robotics or software engineering
• 🛠️ Proactive problem-solving attitude
• 🛠️ An eye for details and aesthetics
• 💻 Proficiency in C/C++ and/or Python
• 💻 Feeling comfortable working in a Linux environment
• 💻 Familiarity with Git
• 🤖 Experience with ROS2
• 🤖 Experience working with SLAM, and the nav2 stack
• 🗣 Fluent in English
