Quality Assurance Engineer for our production facility in Lystrup

Your new role
Terma produces mission-critical equipment where quality and reliability are of utmost importance. As part of the independent Q-function, you will take a key role by preventing defects, ensuring compliance, and supporting on-time delivery of high reliability products to our customers.

You will be part of our global QHSE function where we are 90 dedicated colleagues, and in your daily job you will be part of a Quality Assurance (QA) team of 5, as well as in close daily contact with various parts of the organization in Lystrup.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Quality assurance responsibility for product families: Audio, Star-trackers (space) and Self-protection systems incl. controls for chaffs and flares
• Close cooperation with our production and R&D, where you will help find pragmatic solutions while always ensuring quality and compliance to our Quality Management System and other certifications that constitute our license to operate in Aerospace, Space, and Defense Industries
• Ensure professional handling of non-conformances
• Drive structured problem-solving methodology, incl. in-depth Root Cause Analysis, CAPA, PFMEA, check for effectiveness and 8D as applicable
• Involvement in internal/external audit processes and drive mini audits in the production
• Developing, implementing, and maintaining QA processes
• Support and deploy strategic and continuous improvement projects

How to succeed in this position?
We expect you to fulfill the following requirements, but as a highly specialized industry, we are prepared to invest time and efforts in the right candidate, to bring you up to speed and build up specialized competences that will enable you to be a success in your new role.

Requirements:

• Educational background is preferably within Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or similar degree
• You hold minimum 3 years of Engineering practice within the electronics industry with PCBA production
• You are fluent in Danish and English, spoken as well as written

Experience within any of the following will be considered an advantage:

• Experience from Aerospace or Space electronics manufacturing, possibly from medico industry or other industries with strict regulations
• Experience in auditing
• Good familiarity with AS9100 quality management system for the Aerospace industry, AQAP 2110, 2210, 2310 Allied Quality Assurance Publication are quality standards and guides developed by NATO, ECCS standards for European Cooperation for Space Standardization and IPC-A-610: the Standard for Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies
• IPC-610 certification and ECSS-Q certifications
• Qualifications in Quality Management, Continuous Improvement, incl. Lean and Six Sigma

• Strong execution skills: solution orientation, curious and self-confident presence – not afraid of taking a stand, always in a constructive manner
• Agile and adaptable personality, acting in a fast, responsive, decisive, and well- coordinated way
• Easy to work with and confident to take the lead and ensure the proper progress
• Good at communicating at several levels; creating strong cooperation with operators, quality control, test department, PTA, R&D function, as well as upwards on management level
• Robust and able to handle frequent requests from manufacturing stakeholders
• Able to remain focused and professional in a time-sensitive situation with a good ability to prioritize your own tasks
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and compliance
• Service-minded and supportive
