Technical Writer

Your key responsibilities
In the position as Technical Writer, you will become a part of the Documentation team in our Development department. Together we ensure that the required documentation is ready for customer deliveries on time. You will be working in close collaboration with stakeholders within the team and be an important coordination point in the organisation.

Your main tasks and deliveries will include:

• Gathering required technical information
• Converting complex technical information to easy-to-use customer documentation
• Creating 2D illustrations from 3D models
• Taking ownership of localisation projects and have the day-to-day contact with the translation vendor
• Reviewing documentation both in terms of language and layout
• Maintaining documentation templates to be used throughout the company
• Ensuring that documents are correct and up-to-date

We are a rapidly growing organisation and this position will play an important role in assuring the quality of our technical documentation. To succeed in this role, you must work in a very structured way and be comfortable performing stakeholder management as you will be dependent on deliveries from several stakeholders. You must understand the importance of deadlines and have excellent time-management skills.

Who are you?
We are looking for a candidate with a BSc or MSc degree within languages, communication, or business. What matters the most is that you are well-structured and good at planning ahead. Your work experience is not the most important to us - you can be a newly graduate or have worked within this field of work for several years.

Having experience in 2D tools - preferably SolidWorks Composer - is an advantage along with experience in translation management. You master English at a professional level both verbally and in writing and have strong interpersonal skills, thriving with stakeholder management.

You are self-driven with excellent time management skills. You prefer working in a structured way, reaching important deadlines. None the least, you thrive in a dynamic working environment developing your professional skills along with the company’s growth journey.
