Construction Project Manager – Denmark

We are looking for a Construction Project Managerto make an impact that matters.

The main Better Energy offices in Denmark are in Copenhagen, Sønderborg and Kolding. You will work from one of our offices and occasionally construction sites across Denmark. Working from home is also possible some days.

Together with our strong community of project managers, you will be assigned projects within Better Energy’s Construction portfolio. Our top priority is to deliver Better Energy’s construction projects on time and on budget.

How you will make a difference in Better Energy
You will be a part of EPC management department that is a part of Better Energy EPC Business Unit. The department consists of 3 teams: EPC portfolio management, EPC project management and Construction Project Management.

You will report to the Director for Construction Project Management. In addition to having a strong professional foundation, the team enjoys working together in an informal atmosphere.

In your assigned projects you will work closely with an Engineering, Procurement and Construction Project Manager, EPC PM.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Feedback to EPC PM on the EPC contract scope, timelines, construction risks etc.
• Ensure construction resources are managed and prioritised on the projects, e.g., HSE, Plant installation, Grid connection, testing and commissioning.
• Manage Construction budget (direct costs) to avoid cost overruns or delivery delays that could result into claims and liquidated damages.
• Participate in project handover from Commercial Development and address all queries/project risks with relevant EPC team members before taking the project into construction phase.
• Accompany external tech advisor for site visit and provide technical feedback to open points.
• Provide all project documentation and relevant input for handover to Operations.
• Ensure construction budget/construction timeline as per established targets.
• Highlight change requests to EPC PM that might call for a variation order to EPC Contract.
• Report construction status, site HSE, construction risks and mitigation strategies to EPC PM.

We believe you are comfortable having responsibility for your activities and have a good sense of what is urgent. You are well organised and have experience managing construction projects. You take pride in supporting the team using your skills for the benefit of the team. You want to establish positive and productive relations with your colleagues and external partners.

Additionally, it is important that you have/are:

• +3 years of documented experience managing construction projects
• Bachelor’s degree or similar in building and construction
• Confident in English and preferably also Danish
• Driver’s licence (B)
