“Arla Foods Ingredients (AFI) is an independent company within the Arla Foods Group and a global leader in natural whey ingredients for many different categories, including bakery, beverages, dairy as well as infant and sport nutrition. You will join AFI at our protein and lactose production site Danmark Protein in Nr.Vium, Denmark, where it is a natural part of the daily operation to use data to make the right decisions around our processes.” Says, Senior PTD Manager, Lene Bjerg Jacobsen.

How you will make an impact?
As part of our Production Technology Development department, you will be welcomed by 25 cross-functional colleagues driving continuous improvement across the value chain.

Teaming up with our other data scientist in the production optimisation team, your goal will be to gather data from our network of online sensors, at-line measurements, laboratory analyses and SAP registrations. You will help us analyse the data and develop solutions that make it understandable and decision-ready. We work with SQL databases, R, Power BI and the Azure platform. You will also be expected to handle training of the necessary stakeholders in the data tools.

Your main tasks will be to:

• Maintain our Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) system and support production and reporting/utilization of data from there.
• Maintain our Statistical Process Control (SPC) system.
• Maintaining and developing Power BI reports.
• Development of logic in Azure Databricks (SQL, R, Python) for automation and reporting.
• Strategy work within digitization and data, as well as automation of manual data tasks.
• Scoping, maturation and execution of projects within data and reporting.

Who are you?
You are probably either a data scientist with process understanding, or have a scientific background coupled with interest and flair for data science. It is an advantage if you have a basic knowledge of food technology. Furthermore you have the following competences:

• The ability to communicate data visualizations and reports to your colleagues at all levels.
• Well-grounded in either Power BI, SQL, and either R or Python.
• The courage and skills in project management.
• Communicate effortless in Danish and English.
