Become Part of Our Highly Professional Client Advisory Department in Lyngby
You will be part of COWI's unit for Construction, Industry, and Architecture in Denmark, within the Client Advisory department. We provide consultancy services for all types of construction and industrial projects, covering every aspect of the construction process. Our approach is holistic, focusing on function, value, building technology, energy optimization, and sustainable solutions.
Denmark's Largest Client Advisory Environment
In this position, you will be part of our client advisory team in Lyngby, which consists
of approximately 100 colleagues with diverse backgrounds, providing legal and
technical advisory services to private and public clients in Denmark and abroad.
You will report to the Head of Department, with your daily focus centered on the projects. Most of your tasks will be carried out in close collaboration with the project team and in close dialogue with clients and partners. Some tasks will also be completed independently for clients.
We are therefore seeking a Senior Cost Manager who will help establish a cost management team that, in addition to servicing projects within Client Advisory, will eventually also serve the rest of the business. You will have the opportunity to take a leading role in our cost management tasks and team, ensuring that tasks are staffed and deliverables are quality assured. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of tools and services.
You will be working on:
- Preparing economic analyses and construction cost estimates
- Financial construction and contract management, including claims management
- Delivering economic project reviews and risk analyses
- Developing our tools and services within cost management for construction and civil engineering projects

We believe that the right person for the position is a well-structured and trustworthy team player, who is good at creating relationships, and thereby able to support the collaboration between the parties involved in the project. You have an overview and are able to act proactively. You understand how to communicate complicated economic analyses in an easily understandable way.
In addition, you have:
- At least 5, and preferably 10 years of experience as a Cost Manager from the consulting industry or the construction industry
- Preferably supplementary education as a Quantity Surveyor or Construction Management
- In-depth knowledge of the Danish construction sector, calculation methods and their application in the different phases
- Ability to advise on related topics, such as risk management, tender processes, and digital extraction of quantities.
- Good communication skills and the ability to communicate the economic analyses in both Danish and English.
