Join us in enhancing ECCO's sustainability efforts with a robust reporting and communication strategy. You will lead the development and implementation of our sustainability reporting, aligning with global standards and collaborating closely with Finance and Group Communication.

Co-create, collaborate and communicate for a positive impact
Joining Sustainability Communication, Data and Regulation at our HQ in Tønder, you become part of a brand-new team which currently consists of 4 colleagues and 1 manager. Your joint mission will be to establish a reliable and forward-looking data basis for measuring progress, making decisions, and communicating clearly and convincingly about ECCO’s sustainability initiatives, in line with regulation and market opportunities.
As the person responsible for our sustainability reporting and communication, you will lead several key tasks that enable us to activate sustainability stories targeting external stakeholders. Also, you will be a strong and direct partner to colleagues in Finance, Communication, Branding and Go-to-Market.
Your main tasks will be to:
- Create and execute sustainability reports according to CSRD and other relevant standards
- Keep abreast of new reporting frameworks and regulations to ensure adherence and excellence
- Craft and communicate ECCO’s sustainability narrative, engaging the right stakeholders, including experts
- Conduct double materiality assessment
- Oversee our sustainability policies, regularly reviewing, updating, and approving them
- Respond to customer and consumer inquiries
A marketing background and an understanding of data
To succeed in this role, you will need to have a strong ESG communication and marketing background and an understanding of data, and methodologies and be able to communicate these to various stakeholders, including consumers.
You should also have:
- A bachelor's degree or higher in communication, political or social sciences, economics or related fields
- 10+ years of experience in communication, including 3+ years in sustainability reporting
- Solid analytical skills and experience with data management and reporting software
- Solid project management experience
