The steep growth of Nitor comes with increasing regulatory and compliance requirements. To ensure our continuous growth trajectory whilst upholding the highest standards of integrity and compliance in the process, we are looking for a Compliance Associate to support our Legal & Compliance team. In our Legal & Compliance team, you will be referring directly to the Head of Legal & Compliance and become part of a young, dynamic, and ambitious environment. If you have a high sense of responsibility, detail orientation, and focus on execution, this position is for you.

Your main working areas will be:

• Development, maintain and implement internal policies within various regulatory areas (GDPR, REMIT and MAR in particular).
• Foster and maintain a high level of integrity and ethical standards in all business operations.
• Acting as the primary driver of the day-to-day compliance activities in accordance with the annual plan and close collaboration with the Head of Legal & Compliance.
• Assist in monitoring and assessing the company’s trade activities.
• Provide training and support to staff on compliance-related matters.
• Monitor and investigate compliance-related incidents.

What we expect:

• Bachelors or Masters degree or equivalent (.jur, merc.jur, .oecon, or similar).
• You will have no less than 1 years’ experience working in a highly regulated industry ideally in the energy trading, banking or financial service sector. Alternatively, if you are a recent graduate with a relevant degree and interested in starting a career in trade regulations and compliance, this could be your entry point!
• Experience with carrying out and reporting on compliance controls will be considered a plus but is not a requirement.
• Experience with GDPR and/or energy trading will be considered a plus but is not a requirement.
