Responsibilities and challenges
As Project Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in addressing our international clients' needs within the Maritime Tech department. You'll work collaboratively with a team of international colleagues and clients to develop and implement testing campaigns for a wide range of maritime technologies, with a focus on their environmental footprint and compliance to regulation. The department boasts several testing facilities, including large-scale labs in Port of Hundested and bench-scale labs in the Hørsholm environmental and ecotoxicology laboratory. You will collaborate with experts across various fields, translating their valuable input into actionable testing campaigns with the support of your team.
The responsibilities and challenges in the job are:
- Lead the development and implementation of innovative testing methodologies for maritime environmental technologies, including in-water biofouling control using ROVs, antifouling coating, aquaculture water treatment system, and technical literature review.
- Gain a deep understanding of cutting-edge environmental technologies to ensure future-proof testing solutions that meet evolving regulations.
- Empower colleagues through training and support to deliver high-quality testing results in a safe and environmentally conscious work environment.
- Bridge the gap between DHI’s Global Business Units to foster collaboration and identify new opportunities in maritime environmental solutions or to external stakeholders we might collaborate with.
- Manage project deliverables, including status reports, progress reports, and final reports, to maintain clear communication and project transparency.
Qualifications and personal skills
We are looking for a new colleague who should have as many as possible of the following qualifications:
- A Master's degree in a relevant field (Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture or Environmental Science) with strong understanding of maritime environmental technologies. Familiarity with marine biology, chemistry, or sound/light physics is a plus.
- Proven project manager with experience leading projects effectively. Excellent organizational skills for managing tasks, deadlines, and resources.
- Strong problem-solver who thrives independently and takes initiative.
- Exceptional communication skills in English for international collaboration. Danish a bonus.
- Regulatory knowledge of maritime environmental standards and legislation.
- Willingness to participate in fieldwork at testing facilities to gain firsthand experience with testing activities and occasional travel for projects and networking.
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency required.
