Key Responsibilities:
As a Backend Infrastructure Operation Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the flawless operation of our entire backend infrastructure in an outsourced environment - This includes Backup & Archive, Storage, Network, Compute, and Cloud Governance. The primary responsibility is to ensure the stability, availability, and performance of IT infrastructure through effective collaboration with external partners. This includes acting as the main liaison with partners, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring adherence to SLAs. The role involves proactively identifying and resolving infrastructure issues, developing strategies for continuous improvement, and coordinating with internal stakeholders such as Security and Infrastructure Operations.
Key duties include planning and implementing infrastructure changes and releases, monitoring capacity and performance trends, and enforcing security policies. Additionally, the Backend Infrastructure Operation Lead is responsible for developing and maintaining disaster recovery plans to ensure timely recovery in case of disruptions. This ensures that the IT infrastructure remains robust, secure, and capable of supporting the organization's needs.
What You Bring:
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. They must possess an in-depth understanding of backup, archive, storage, compute, network, and cloud technologies, along with hands-on experience managing complex infrastructure environments. Proven experience in vendor management is essential, including establishing and maintaining effective partnerships, negotiating contracts, and managing performance.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and implement effective solutions. Additionally, excellent communication and collaboration skills are crucial for building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience working in an outsourced IT environment.
- Experience with ITIL incident and problem management processes.
- Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
