As the Nordics Strategic Marketing Manager for Companion Animal you are responsible for developing and executing effective marketing strategies for a portfolio of brands that align with the organization's goals and drive business growth. You deliver a distinctive go-to-market strategy and devise campaign ideas and concepts that aim to engage, motivate and educate while delivering added value to our customers. You analyze market trends, identify target audiences, and devise innovative marketing campaigns to enhance brand visibility and grow market share. Next to this growth of our current portfolio, you will have an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of our game-changing product launch. In addition to developing and executing effective marketing strategies for our portfolio of brands, you will play a pivotal role in introducing this innovative product to the market. Your expertise will be instrumental in creating impactful campaigns that not only enhance brand visibility and drive business growth but also ensure a successful launch of this groundbreaking addition to our portfolio.

As a Nordic Strategic Marketing Manager you work closely with the commercial side of the business, with global and regional teams as well as the Channel Marketing Team. You ensure alignment and relevance of marketing strategies and campaigns and adapt campaign ideas to reflect local specificities and market conditions. Your ability to build strong ties and influence and manage your stakeholders is crucial in this role. You are responsible for the marketing budget related to your portfolio of brands. You ensure your brands are continuously top-of-mind.

Together with the entire Marketing Team you are a key contributor not only in ensuring marketing excellence within Our Company's Animal Health Nordics, but you are also an integral driver of our Animal Health’s go-to-market transformation, leveraging new and existing channels, and in innovating the way we collaborate and interact with our customers.

Primary activities and Key Responsibilities

  • You develop and implement strategic marketing plans to achieve business objectives.
  • You manage and oversee all the marketing activities and plans related to your brands across various channels, including digital, social media, traditional advertising, and events.
  • You monitor and analyze the performance of marketing activities, adjusting strategies as needed to optimize results.
  • You collaborate with global, regional and commercial teams to identify market opportunities and incorporate customer insights into marketing activities.
  • You facilitate workshops to draft the commercial strategy and drive the execution of the commercial plan
  • You conduct market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitor analysis.
  • You develop and manage budgets for marketing campaigns and measure return on investment.
  • You establish and maintain brand identity and consistent messaging across all marketing platforms.
  • You define target audiences and create customer profiles to drive effective marketing initiatives.
  • You build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners.
  • You manage the internal review and project approval processes.
  • You stay updated with industry trends and developments to identify new marketing opportunities.

Education, Background & Experience

  • Master’s degree in marketing, business or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience e.g., in marketing, brand or product management in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Strategic mindset and ability to think creatively to develop innovative marketing strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret market research data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proven track-record of developing brand and marketing strategies and ability to translate into tangible and easy to understand plans and tactics. Leading strategy implementation and delivering stellar business value and growth.
  • Proven ability to drive results based on customer needs and insights.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and ability to lead complex projects.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and affinity for numbers partnered with a creative mind.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • A strong sense of accountability and ownership.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, Swedish is preferred

Additional Information:

  • Affinity with the Animal Health industry, OTC, and/or Rx products and environments is an advantage.
  • You will report to the Nordic Marketing Director.
  • Some travel (~15%) within the Nordics may be required.
