At Maersk, we focus on individual development. The right candidate will have broad opportunities to further develop competencies in ESG reporting within an environment characterized by change and continuous improvement.

ESG is ingrained in every part of our organization and processes. Here, you will collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams across the organization. You will quickly build an international professional network through daily contact with a wide range of departments across functions and geographies within the Group.

The position is within A.P. Møller - Mærsk A/S Accounting and Reporting. It offers an unmatched learning opportunity for a knowledge-seeking and ambitious professional who wishes to gain insight into diverse activities and grow within the Maersk Group.

As an ESG Controller in APMM Accounting, you will be a key team player. Your role will include ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of our ESG reporting, while also identifying and executing opportunities for improving our ways of working.

Key Responsibilities
Your area of responsibility will be comprehensive and include, among other tasks:

  • Effectively executing the reporting processes at the group level
  • Completing and ensuring accurate and unbiased reporting to key decision-makers
  • Serving as a competent advisor on reporting and consolidation issues for different businesses’ finance and reporting functions
  • Conducting consolidation and reporting of ESG data, including external reporting of sustainability key figures
  • Collaborating and playing a key role in implementing the CSRD reporting requirements and EU taxonomy
  • Preparing and updating reporting instructions according to ESRS/IFRS and sustainability regulations
  • Driving and ensuring the execution of ad hoc initiatives and participating in projects

Who We Are Looking For

  • You hold a relevant financial degree, such as a Master’s degree or Graduate Diploma (HD) in Accounting or an equivalent qualification, with a passion for ESG reporting.
  • Additionally, you have at least 3-5 years of experience in financial or non-financial reporting, controlling, and/or auditing of large/medium-sized companies.
  • Strong functional knowledge of consolidation and reporting is a must, along with a control mindset. Knowledge and experience with CSRD and EU Taxonomy are advantages but not requirements. You can identify potential issues associated with unusual or complex transactions and review and approve the appropriate treatment. • You enjoy working towards goals, taking ownership of your assignments, and thriving in a dynamic environment where you need to manage competing priorities.
  • As you will work with colleagues from across the globe, fluency in English is a prerequisite.
