Reporting to the Airport System Director, you become a part of the Sales & System team, dedicated to translating the customers' needs into the right solutions in a close dialogue with both internal and external stakeholders.
We analyse needs and specifications to draft the right solution and implementation plan for each customer. We work with a wide range of different conveying technologies for baggage handling including software solutions to enable automation, more reliable and sustainable baggage handling systems to suit the needs of our clients.
Projects all over the world
With our unique product range, good sparring with colleagues and your creativity, you configure successful system solutions, which you present to our customers together with the sales team, in the form of offers and with 3D visualizations and descriptions.
In the long term, you will be responsible for the overall configuration of systems, which often involve many kilometres of baggage handling systems. In addition, with support from product specialists, you ensure that the overall solution meets performance requirements and supports our own and our customers' business goals.
It takes time to get to know our product range and solutions, but you will get time to immerse yourself. Specifically, you will:
- Collaborate with internal specialists to obtain the necessary knowledge and ensure the best solution for the customer.
- Coordinate performance requirements with internal and external suppliers.
- Prepare descriptions and specifications for inclusion in offers and contracts.
Typically, you will attend 1-2 customer meetings per month globally to uncover customer needs and present solutions together with our sales team. Accordingly, you can expect approx. 40 travel days per year, where you work with colleagues and customers in different time zones and cultures.
Creative engineer with entrepreneurial spirit
The job calls for a competitive person with an eye for new opportunities. Your creativity and entrepreneurial spirit are two of your great strengths. You work well independently, but you know that cooperation is the way forward. Your technical understanding gives you weight and credibility when you sell our solution to the customer. Moreover, we imagine that you:
- Are a trained engineer.
- Probably have some years' experience from a similar job.
- Have knowledge of one or more 3D CAD programs, e.g., AutoCAD.
- Are familiar with MS Office, especially Excel.
- Speak and write English at a high level.
For the skilled and ambitious profile, the position can lead you to a management position in the department sometime in the near future.
