We are currently looking for a Manager, Manufacturing Operations to join our team in Kalundborg, Denmark. This position has plays critical role in the business and requires a highly experienced individual, preferably with a deep understanding of flexible pipe production processes.

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of managers and supervisors.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Promote a culture of safety, ensuring all employees adhere to safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
  • Act as a liaison between plant operations and other departments to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
  • Maximize execution and financial outcomes through operational excellence.
  • Set annual production targets, optimizing resource utilization.
  • Encourage innovation and continuous improvement.

Operational Management:

  • Oversee day-to-day plant operations, ensuring production targets and quality standards are met.
  • Develop and implement policies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Identify potential risks and implement strategic solutions.
  • Oversee financial and operational forecasts.
  • Manage production and load-out operations with a focus on efficiency.
  • Lead internal audit processes and facilitate certification acquisition.
  • Maintain proactive contact with internal customers and suppliers.

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and implement long-term strategic plans to enhance plant operations and support company growth.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and capacity expansions.
  • Lead capital projects, including planning, execution, and integration of new technologies and equipment.
  • Monitor industry trends and incorporate innovative solutions.

Performance Measurement and Continuous Improvement:

  • Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Review and evaluate operational results, taking action to address areas needing improvement.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses of production economics to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Control overhead expenses and drive continuous improvement across all activities.

Team Development:

  • Conduct regular performance reviews and set objectives for the team.
  • Craft and execute a comprehensive hiring plan.
  • Assess and fulfill training needs, establish career progression frameworks, and implement robust succession planning.
  • Create a motivational environment and form cohesive teams.

Qualifications:

  • Required Education: Degree in Engineering or related fields.
  • Desirable Education: MBA in Business Management, Finance, or related areas.
  • Required Training/Knowledge: Safety training according to NOV’s training matrix, internal training related to NOV policies and compliance.
  • Desirable Training/Knowledge: Team Management, Finance and Accounting, Lean Manufacturing, Process Management, Negotiation, Microsoft Office suite expertise, Continuous Improvement Management, technical knowledge in production machinery and equipment.
  • Experience: Solid experience in related activities, extensive knowledge of the O&G industry (SURF Projects), and experience managing an industrial environment.
