The position as Head of IT

On behalf of Banijay Nordic Recruit IT is looking for a Head of IT who will be responsible for the development of increased cooperation between IT functions in Banijay Nordic and securing Nordic IT alignment, understand best practice, define common Nordic success criteria’s, secure project, and application implementations etc. with the aim to develop and secure implementation of a Nordic IT organization and strategy, support a slim cost base while technology develop and support the individually production entities across the territory.

The role will have an initial focus on Denmark, which currently consists of 5 independent productions companies (ex. well known strong Brands like; Mastiff, Metronome and Nordisk Film TV), one Post company and two administrative companies. IT is largely today handled separately in each of these companies. However, in the three other Nordic countries IT has been centralized on a countrylevel, but this has yet to be done in Denmark. The Head of IT should lead this transition to the future shared IT organization in Denmark.

Following the successful consolidation in Denmark, the role will expand and increase its focus on the entire Nordic region, ensuring that our IT infrastructure and strategy support our business objectives.

Key responsibilities

The key areas of responsibility for the Head of IT are:

• Drive the transition into a shared IT-organization for Banijay Denmark with a clear focus on standardization and efficiency
• Develop and lead the IT organization with focus on agility and flexibility
• Define and implement the future IT strategy for Banijay Nordic with the right security foundation
• Identify and leverage synergies across the Nordic countries to optimize IT operations and costs
• Responsible for budget and cost
• Lead the cross organizational IT-steering group
• Transform IT from a value maintenance service function to a value enabler, with clear visions for driving the digital and cloud first agenda
• Prepare and take the technical lead on a future ERP implementation
• Be the main point of contact in IT for all requests and dialogues with Banijay Group
• Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role, preferably within a Nordic organization
• Strong background in IT infrastructure, systems integration, and strategic planning
• Demonstrated success in leading IT transformations and consolidations
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Good strategic mindset, strong conceptual and analytical skills
• Acts as a catalyst for and contributes to organizational change
• Capability of building and maintaining strong and lasting relationships
• Provides constructive feedback
• Good team performance, uses synergies, cooperates perfectly with the superiors

• Danish and English: Business fluent
• Norwegian and Swedish: Communication level

This position will require a limited amount of travel within the Nordic countries and within Banijay Group. The number of travel days are estimated to 10-30 pr. year.

Reporting line and location

The Head of IT refers to the Banijay Nordic, Nordic Director (+ a dotted line reference to the CFO of Banijay Danmark) and will be located either at the Banijay Nordic office or at the Production offices in Copenhagen.

In Denmark, Banijay is planning to move all companies into same location moving forward, while same re-location in Norway and Sweden might also take place in the time to come.

Candidate profile

The future Head of IT has experience from a similar position or from several successful digital transformation tasks with a minimum a 5-8 years of leadership experiences, used to work within a matrix organization with several stakeholders across countries, production entities and locations. Most importantly is that the future Head of IT is motivated by being in a creative environment with a high level of agility.
