We are looking for Principal Engineers to strengthen our Electrical department in Stavanger. As a Principal Electrical Engineer you will i.a define,specify and design high voltage electrical system and take on DL role in an exiting growing portfolio.

About the position
In this position, you will be responsible for the discipline’s deliveries in the projects and work closely with other disciplines to achieve the project’s goals. In addition to design tasks in the office, you will also travel for field inspections onshore/offshore.

Responsibilities and tasks include

  • Electrical system design for Study, FEED or EPC projects
  • System- or Team lead for electrical in projects
  • Define, specify and design high voltage electrical systems
  • Develop and assist in design of electrical philosophies, strategies, topologies, single line diagrams, load list, system description, PMS/PDCS systems and electrical systems solutions
  • Perform and follow up calculations, analyses and assessments
  • Interface with other disciplines, contractors, and client
  • Suppliers follow up, interface

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or master's degree in Power Engineering
  • Proven experience within high voltage system design and electrical distribution
  • Experience and thorough knowledge of electrical design according to relevant standards such as NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, and IEC61850, IEC61892 NEK 400, NEK420
  • Ability to understand and implement requirements stated in new standardst

  • Efficient communicator, who communicates well in English - Both orally and in writing
  • Cooperative working attitude and acceptance for multicultural team environment
  • A natural team player, but possess the ability to work independently
  • Systematic and accurate, with high loyalty to deadline and quality requirements
  • Proactive, with a willingness to learn, seek advice and share own experiences with others
  • Innovative approach, eager to improve methodology and solutions through digital tools
