Senior Analyst for Regulatory Risk Testing in Business Controls & Product Management

Would you like to be a significant contributor to the implementation and execution of an effective 1st LoD controls management framework in Danske Bank? Would you like to work closely with the business in testing their key controls to ensure robust business processes and keep Danske Bank and its customers out of harm?
We are looking for a Senior Risk officer, who will contribute to delivering on a robust testing framework within Regulatory Risk areas in Danske Bank.
The Business Controls and Product Management (BCPM) department plays a central part in supporting the Business in achieving its strategic goals with reporting lines to the heads of the three business units: Large Corporates & Institutions, Business Customers and Personal Customers.
Core function is an independent 1st LoD (Line of Defence) control testing unit within BCPM, separate from the control ownership and operation in the business units, with the aim to ensure that controls are designed and operated effectively.
Developing, executing and managing testing for Regulatory risks across all Business Units
The Regulatory Risk Testing team focuses on developing, executing and managing testing for Regulatory Risk, conduct and sustainability across all Business Units.
As a member of the Regulatory Risk Testing team, you will work closely with colleagues within BCPM at all levels as well as key stakeholders from 1st, 2nd and 3rd LoD.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, and implement comprehensive control testing for Regulatory risks incl. test scripts for key controls, test frequency, etc.
- Analyse and interpret testing results to highlight areas of strengths and improvement for Regulatory, Conduct and Sustainability risks across Business areas.
- Identify opportunities for test automation for key controls and work in partnership with the teams across BC&PM.
- Support escalation of test results and monitoring for Senior management and Governing Risk Committees.

We are looking for an experienced candidate who has:
- Minimum + 4 years of non-financial risk management experience, ideally with particular emphasis on Regulatory Risks e.g. Dodd-Frank, MIFID and EMIR regulatory areas.
- The ability to look beyond the numbers and identify the underlying risk drivers and trends.
- Strong written communication skills to convey complex findings in a short and easily understandable manner
- Solid experience working with stakeholders across organisational lines.
- Structured, pragmatic, and delivery focused.
- Fluency in spoken and written English is required, and preferably one Nordic language.
You are an experienced finance risk professional, or perhaps you have been working with governance, regulatory or legal processes in the banking industry. You have knowledge of financial products, processes or other relevant experience and know how to combine risk management principles with the needs of the business.

You are able to establish relationships with stakeholders and relevant business areas across countries in order to meet collective regulatory and risk management objectives.
