Head of IT for Wanzl Nordic

For our client Wanzl Nordic A/S, we are seeking a Head of IT who will play a key role in leading and transforming the company's IT landscape across the Nordic region.

As Head of IT at Wanzl Nordic, you will be the chief architect behind a critical upgrade of the company's ERP system from Aspect 4 to SAP. This transformation will be carried out in close collaboration with Wanzl’s parent company in Germany, requiring both strategic oversight and the ability to translate complex requirements into practical solutions.

Additionally, you will have overall IT responsibility for the entire Nordic region, which includes 4 sales offices, 2 production facilities, and a total of 350 employees.

You will lead a dedicated IT team of 4 employees, ensuring the company's IT infrastructure, including daily operations, support, and maintenance runs smoothly. This responsibility covers network administration, security, servers, workstations, and communication systems.Your role will also involve developing and implementing IT strategies that support the business objectives.

You will be responsible for ensuring that Wanzl Nordic is equipped for the future through robust and scalable IT solutions, while also ensuring the seamless operation of existing systems.

Who are you?

You have solid experience in IT management, preferably within international organisations, and have previously overseen complex system upgrades. You are a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, capable of driving progress in a busy and complex environment. Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is a clear advantage, as is a strong understanding of IT infrastructure and support.

Your qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, such as Information Technology or Computer Science, combined with extensive practical experience in a similar role.
• 5+ years of experience in information technology, including IT operations and infrastructure support.
• 3+ years of experience in IT team leadership with excellent management skills.
• Proven experience in project planning and management, including collaboration with corporate headquarters and various stakeholders.
• Familiarity with architectural processes and performance reporting for operating systems.
• Experience with cloud architecture, databases, data storage systems, and telephone systems.
• Fluency in Danish and English, both written and spoken.
• Outgoing with excellent collaboration skills.
• Service-minded with a proactive approach to the organisation.
• Excellent communication skills, both for technical and non-technical staff.
• Problem-solving abilities and an analytical mindset.
• Ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Personal competencies:

Travel activity is expected to be around 10-20 days per year, primarily to Wanzl’s headquarters in Leipheim, Germany, as well as to Wanzl Nordic’s locations in Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Latvia.
