Welcome to Functional Foods Applied R&D
We are a recently established group of research and development professionals, all passionate about the power of functional foods. You can expect to join a team full of entrepreneurialism and can-do attitude and lift this new business unit together with us. We operate at the intersect of food and health with the responsibility for mode of action knowhow and application expertise for functional foods products in the pipeline and the portfolio.

In this role you’ll make an impact by:

• Demonstrating impactful scientific and technical leadership within food science, including managing complex projects, demonstrating greater analytical and innovative input, developing new concepts and methods for problem solving
• Contributing to business unit and scientific strategy decisions
• Being responsible for high-impact scientific development activities, including acting as application/innovation lead on impactful New Product Development projects, and continuously identifying and scoping new ideas, projects and technologies
• Being a role model within the department, e.g. by facilitating knowledge sharing, continuously driving technological improvements and providing developmental feedback to advance the team competencies

To succeed you must hold:

• Solid experience from the Food industry, with a relevant Food Science background and a seniority of at least +5 years of working in the Food, Biotech or adjacent industry
• Innovation mindset and extensive innovation track-record, e.g. patents, publications or similar. A plus if you are experienced with new technology/product scouting
• Project management competencies, particularly with complex and/or strategic projects
• Leadership experience and competencies (formal/informal)
• Travelling required, expected at 10-30 days per year
