The Job
The position as a student assistant in the TEM department may include:
- Provide support to the design, execution and commercial management of the large electro-mechanical contract.
- Assisting in using our project management tools for general reporting issues, KPIs, document control, interface management, etc.
- Assisting in data analysis, preparing reports, presentations, meeting notes, etc..
- Depending on your educational background providing professional assistance together with our colleagues on technical issues.
As a student assistant, it is important that you are not afraid to take on new tasks and that you thrive in a busy environment. We ensure that you are prepared for the tasks you will undertake and focus on your professional development. Your working hours will be approximately 15 hours per week, depending on your wishes and respecting your study plan. Your workplace will be in Copenhagen, Vester Søgade 10, 1601 Copenhagen V, close to Vesterport Station.
Your Qualifications
We imagine that you are studying engineering and have a technical understanding, but we are also open to students from social sciences and humanities, as the position will involve many written tasks. You are probably in the final year of your bachelor's degree or have started your master's. We emphasize that you are eager and willing to take on new tasks and are characterized by being:
- Quality-conscious and detail-oriented. You follow tasks through to completion and meet deadlines.
- Proactive with an independent approach to work tasks.
- Good at communicating.
- Good at handling parallel tasks without losing the overview.
- Characterized by a good mood and enthusiasm.
- Fluent in English and able to deliver messages clearly and unambiguously. Knowledge of German would be advantageous but is not mandatory.
- Proficient in computer applications like Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.

About Us
Femern A/S, a subsidiary of the state-owned Sund & Bælt group, is responsible for constructing the 18 km long tunnel between Puttgarden in Germany and Rødbyhavn in Denmark under design and build contracts. As our new student assistant, you will join our TEM department together with 20 colleagues – technical and commercial engineers with experience from mega projects across the globe. Together, we ensure that all electro-mechanical design and execution aspects of the immersed tunnel for services such as power supplies, tunnel ventilation, traffic management, and SCADA live up to our high standards. You will not work alone, and you will learn a lot from both our external partners and especially your colleagues with their vast experience.
