Team Lead, Accounts Payable

Join us in this role where you’ll lead an accounts payable team that supports other Accounting & Finance functions across the region and ensure that the team is trained and well connected with our key stakeholders. You’ll be part of Financial Services Kuala Lumpur where you, together with your colleagues, will provide accounts payable services, process improvement, and month-end procedures for our stakeholders. You’ll play an important role in:

  • hiring, training, and developing team members, as well as assigning tasks, setting goals, and providing guidance and support
  • ensuring that the team operates efficiently, meets deadlines, and maintains a high level of accuracy and professionalism
  • monitoring the performance of the accounts payable function, identifying bottlenecks or areas for improvement, and implementing changes accordingly
  • analysing data to identify trends, discrepancies, or potential cost savings
  • collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless processes and provide input and support for strategic initiatives
  • ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies related to accounts payable.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have more than 5 years’ experience in end-to-end of accounts payable and at least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or team lead role
  • have solid knowledge of accounts payable processes, accounting principles, and internal controls
  • foster a positive work environment, motivate your team, and provide guidance and support when needed
  • establish strong internal controls to mitigate risks and an prevent fraud or errors
  • are proficient in SAP ERP
  • seek opportunities for process optimisation, cost savings, and better utilisation of resources.
