Chef for the Danish Embassy in Berlin (m/f/d)

The Danish Embassy in Berlin is looking for a locally employed chef (m/f/d), who is passionate about preparing New Nordic cuisine and is looking to bring this passion to the Danish Embassy, as well as the Danish Ambassador’s residency. The chef’s primary task is to prepare lunches, dinners, and receptions with up to 100 guests.

Qualifications:

• You excel at cooking fresh and healthy New Nordic food
• You work independently and must be able to work and make decisions without supervision
• You manage all parts of the process: menu-planning, purchasing, and cooking
• You are able to coordinate external service staff
• You work efficiently and have a sense of timing
• Your approach to cooking is wholesome and characterized by sustainability throughout the process
• You are solution-oriented and have a positive mind set
• You are flexible with your working hours during the workweek – most weekends, on the other hand, are off
• Proficiency in Danish or one of the other Scandinavian languages is an advantage. German is useful.
• Driver’s license is required as you will be responsible for the purchasing process
