The Job
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Financial Planning (Senior Manager) to take charge of TORM’s monthly reporting, planning, and forecasting. In this pivotal role, you will report directly to the Head of Group Finance and serve as the go-to expert within the financial planning domain. Your key responsibilities will include managing the annual budget process, monthly rolling forecasts, and reporting, all while ensuring alignment with TORM’s strategic goals.

You will lead a talented Financial Planning team, supported by our Center of Excellence in India, which ensures the delivery of high-quality financial data. As a core part of the organization, this team plays a crucial role in empowering leadership to execute strategic initiatives while driving TORM’s optimization and automation efforts.

As the Head of Financial Planning, you will be expected to take our already data-driven culture to the next level, transforming TORM into a benchmark for excellence in financial planning and reporting. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the financial planning function, including budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting.
  • Acting as a business partner to management, through insights that drive financial performance.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reports, providing detailed analysis and insights to support decision-making, while maintaining oversight of complex financial models.
  • Automate financial processes and take the lead in selecting a new planning system to replace the current Hyperion Planning.
  • Collaborate closely with various stakeholders across the organization to ensure alignment with financial objectives.
  • Manage and mentor a team member based in Mumbai, India, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning, budgeting, and monthly reporting.
  • Strong financial background with expertise in accounting, financial planning, and analysis.
  • Proficiency in Excel and the ability to manage and simplify complex financial models.
  • Familiarity with financial planning systems and a track record of automating processes; experience with Hyperion Planning is a plus.
  • Experience in the shipping industry is highly desirable.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to meeting deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Preparation is key.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams.
