Great opportunity
As Group Treasurer at AAK, you will support the execution of our strategy by providing the appropriate funding, cash and risk management for the Group. A central and important role with visibility and impact on the strategy of the company.

You will report directly to the CFO and work out of our new global headquarter in Malmö, at Hyllie Terrass - a 12-storey building that uses climate-improved concrete, recycled materials, and innovative energy solutions to reduce its carbon footprint.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Lead the daily management of Group financial risks including FX risk, interest rate risk and funding/liquidity risk through AAK’s internal bank
• Drive improvement in the management of working capital, cash, cash flow forecasting, borrowings and payments across the Group, including fit for purpose treasury processes and systems to analyse, control, follow-up and report on Treasury and cash management
• Lead the development and implementation of treasury policies and procedures in the Group
• Define and implement the Group’s funding strategy in line with business needs and leverage policy of the group
• Drive and secure an optimization of the internal capital structure
• Provide oversight and guidance on the Group’s credit risk policy and customer credit risk
• Secure suitable and competitive bank counterparties for financing, hedging, cash management and payment services in the Group
• Follow and be updated on external and internal development in areas affecting Treasury’s activities in order to initiate needed changes in AAK’s Treasury, Cash and Risk management activities
• Lead, coach and support your team consisting of three experienced individuals within Group Treasury in their day-to-day work
• Be an active part of Group Financial Leadership team, demonstrate collaboration and customer focus

Your new role will require international travelling - you should expect approximately 30-40 working days per year to our facilities world-wide.

You and your background!
You are a strong team player who builds trust among people across geographies and organizations, communicates effectively and focus on continuous improvement. Commercial understanding, striving to make a difference and seeing challenges as opportunities. Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills. Robust, easy going and organized with excellent prioritization skills.

On top of that, you have:

• +10 years’ experience within Treasury – at least 3 years at director level in Group functions – in complex international companies with many subsidiaries
• Experience of running an internal bank
• A proven track record in managing financial operations in a global, commercial, and innovative environment
• Excellent Treasury & Cash management knowledge including derivatives, hedging, financing & investment methods and cash management
• Excellent understanding of treasury accounting and FX-effects, from a balance sheet and income statement perspective
• Good general understanding of tax aspects related to international treasury management
• Proficiency in financial software and systems, with a strong understanding in financial regulations and compliance
• A relevant academic degree – M.Sc. in Finance or similar – and fluent in English
