Your job
As our new Nordic Junior Brand Manager, you will be an integral part of the Nordic Marketing team at Purina PetCare. Your role will be based at our Nordic headquarters in Ørestad, Copenhagen, and you will report directly our Nordic Marketing Manager, but work very closely with the team responsible for Purina in the Specialist channel. Your primary responsibility will be to drive the growth of our PPVD (ProPlan Veterinary Diets) brand in Nordics. This will involve developing brand plans and collaborating with the Sales and Market Development teams to create effective marketing strategies. Your key focus will be on aligning the zone-wide strategy with the specific needs of the Nordic markets and ensuring exceptional brand execution.

In essence, you will be responsible for:

  • Building strong brand plans that will delight target consumers and generate solid business results in the Nordic markets (Sweden, Finland, Norway, and Denmark).
  • Ensuring that the brand essence governs everything the brand says and does.
  • Driving the brand strategy for your brand portfolio, as well as planning and executing product launches, relaunches, and mixes.
  • Managing the brand budget efficiently.
  • Media planning, as well as adaptation and development of communication to our local markets.

You will work together with the other Brand Managers towards accelerating the growth of the Purina portfolio. We are a truly energetic and passionate team, consisting of a mix of nationalities and backgrounds. We take responsibility for our actions and believe that progress beats perfection. We value good relationships and open communication, and we act as the voice of the consumer in the organization. It is not a requirement that you have a pet at home to be a part of the team, as long as you have a curious mindset and are passionate about consumers and their behaviors.

Limited business travel is to be expected in this role.

To thrive in this role, we seek an individual with great communication skills, who can easily navigate in a complex stakeholder landscape, managing a complex brand portfolio and who is able to influence with integrity. In addition to this, you:

  • Hold an educational background within Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in marketing or a similar commercial discipline, preferably from within the FMCG industry.
  • Are fluent in English, and ideally also in one of the Nordic languages (Swedish, Finnish, Norwegian, or Danish).
  • Are an experienced user of Microsoft Office.
  • Exhibit advanced analytical skills and a commercial mindset, enabling you to be target-oriented and a proactive problem-solver.
  • Have experience with and/or a keen interest in the digital and social media landscape.
  • Enjoy seamlessly transitioning between strategic planning and daily operational tasks.
  • Embody the qualities of a strong and positive team player, relishing the opportunity to contribute to a collaborative environment.
