To support its expansion, Nord Pool Strategy and Products department, gathering close to 20 people in charge of Strategy, Products, Services and Business Development, is looking for a Strategy and Business analyst VIE to join the team from January 2025, for an initial period of 12 months (can be extended).

You will be involved in strategic initiatives, business development and other activities to support the growth of the business.

This is a unique opportunity to grow in a demanding role, as a right-hand man/woman to the Chief Strategy Office, and in close collaboration with top executives of the company, including the CEO.

It is also a great opportunity to learn more about the European electricity markets, energy trading, and more broadly energy transition.

You will be accountable for:

• Undertake market analysis to identify market opportunities and customer needs, using desktop research, meetings with clients and partners and attendance in selected conferences
• Monitor the competitive landscape of services and products of the company, conducts screening analysis to identify business targets, and ensures the reporting of his/her department
• Produce good quality materials (spreadsheets, presentation slides) that effectively communicate results, conclusions and suggested courses of action.
• Participate in regular meetings with other departments in the company/the Euronext group, partners, to ensure alignment
• Analyse the performance of the business, identify potential improvements and propose actionable solutions
• Participate in strategy process updates, M&A process, meetings with potential partners

Profile

• A bachelor’s degree in business, economics, computer science, or a related field
• At least a first successful internship or work experience in the energy industry and/or in strategy consulting and/or in a fast growing business
• Experience in analysing data and in creating reports and presentations
• Fluent in English

Desired skills

• Solid interest in energy economics, power markets and energy in general
• Experience in project management
• Excellent planning, organizational, problem-solving, time management, and communication skills
• Command of Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI
• Fast learner, proactive behavior and entrepreneurial mindset
• Hability to multitask depending on priorities of the moment
