CREADIS, Inc. is seeking multiple Senior Specialist Mechanical Engineers (Orlando, FL) to perform conceptual development on critical systems for the wind industry. Act as a Team Leader by reviewing team`s designs, participating in technical decision making, resource allocation, planning, budgeting and basic project management tasks. Align resource needs with DIS/CREADIS consultants. Act as Primary Systems Architect and Concept Owner of a complete wind turbine (tower, nacelle, hub and blades). Advise a highly specialized team of Solution Owners and Design Engineers. Serve as the main source of contact for internal and external stakeholder alignments. Perform business case development. Provide technical expertise on specific EQM projects. Act as concept developer of wind industry specific EQM machines, technical sparring partner and reviewer in specific EQM projects. Support sales with EQM projects, Wind industry projects and costumer specific projects. No Direct Reports. Local telecommuting permitted up to 3 days per week. 5% domestic and 5% international travel required.
Job Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of mechanical design experience within the wind industry. Must have 3 years of work experience as Tech lead in wind industry development projects. Must have 5 years of experience in CAD and PLM systems. Must have experience with the following software: Autodesk Inventor/Vault, Siemens NX/Teamcenter, PTC CREO/Windchill and Dassult Solidworks/PDM Vault. Must have experience with: Wind turbine and machine standards and directives including: Machinery directive (2006/42/ec) , IEC61400, OSHA, EN50308, EN1090, ISO12100, and EN13155; Design experience within Wind turbine construction, Welded constructions, Sheet metal, Cable management systems, Machine elements, Gears, motors, pneumatics, Design for manufacturing, Test equipment, Bolted joints, Corrosion protection systems, Cooling systems, Lifting equipment and operations; Maconomy finance system Software; Commercial budgeting, quotations and supporting sales activities; Experimenting with basic Project management tools; DFMEA; Creating and maintaining Engineering Master Data; Engineering change management processes; Knowledge of NDT; Stake holder management; and Commissioning. 5% domestic and 5% international travel required. Employer will accept 2 years of work experience in lieu of each year not completed toward the degree\ requirement. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience.
