Gram Equipment develops, builds, and services equipment for ice cream production globally. A major part of the equipment is built in Kolding. We also have production sites in Turkey and Italy.
The assembly facility in Kolding is managed by a team of 3 Production Managers, which we want to expand due to growth in both orders and the number of employees. Currently, there are 130 employees in the assembly and warehouse in Kolding. You will report directly to our Plant Manager and will manage your own assembly teams, which consist primarily of industrial and electrical technicians. There is a dedicated team coordinator for each assembly team.
Areas of responsibility:
• Management and daily operation of assembly teams
• Leadership & development of employees
• Resource planning
• Quality management and follow-up
• Continuous improvement initiatives – primarily through Lean
• HSE-related tasks
• Optimization of processes.
Your background
The right candidate has a technical background, such as an Engineer, Bachelor of Technology Management and Marine Engineering, AP Graduate in Production Technology, or something similar. You have experience with a production company with make-to-order production/assembly, and knowledge of the food industry is an advantage. We expect you to have at least 3 years of experience in managing production teams. You have proven results in the implementation of Lean and optimization of processes. Further, you have experience with HSE activities. It is a positive add-on if you have a background in industrial electrical installation.
You respect all functional levels – high and low - and can communicate directly and clearly at all organizational levels. As a manager, you are visible and delegate. Being motivating and results-driven, you understand how to challenge the existing work- and business processes. At the same time, you thrive in taking up a hands-on role in the organization and have a practical approach to daily operations. You create an overview, see changes as a challenge, and have an uncomplicated and positive approach, seeing solutions instead of problems.
Even if the company language is English, you must be able to speak and write Danish at a professional level.
