For our Nordic Credit Risk Shared Service Center, we are looking for an experienced professional to build up the Credit Risk 2 level of defence function in this newly created position. You will join us at an exciting time, as we have merged ALD Automotive with LeasePlan to become the largest player in our field – putting miles between us and the competition. You will become part of a team based in Taastrup, Denmark. Here you will be welcomed into an informal culture where we speak a mix of the Scandinavian languages and English. You will play a key role in establishing the Credit risk LoD2 function in our Credit Risk Shared Service Center that is already consisting of Credit Analysts headed by the Nordic Credit Risk Team Manager.

The Credit Risk LoD2 function manages several activities, such as:

  • Responsible for making credit risk decisions within local authority and over Credit Analyst (LoD1) signing authority and validate ratings used during the credit assessment.
  • Monitoring the portfolio for early warning indicators, watchlist, and defaults
  • Oversight, challenge, and validation for provision calculations, Cost of Risk (CoR) budget and estimate, provisioning activities, forbearance measures and collection activities e.g.
  • Oversight of the scoring and rating rules and of the whole credit process

As our Head of Credit Risk, you will be a part of ALD’s 2nd line of Defense which is a strategic risk monitoring and control function.

More specifically, your key tasks include:

  • Managing and further developing Credit Risk Shared Service Center activities in line with the strategic plan and by correct implementation and application of risk policy and procedures as defined at Central level.
  • Translating the yearly operational, strategic and business plan objectives into individual objectives.
  • Performing an execution role in measuring, monitoring, and controlling Credit Risk LoD2 activities
  • Support correct implementation and application of risk policies and risk management measures by the business lines and support units
  • Collaborating with relevant entities and stakeholders on Credit Risk related subjects incl. Local, Regional and Central based partners.

Visionary subject matter expert and a change leader
You are first and foremost an experienced Credit Risk Professional who thrives on developing and executing new strategies within Credit Risk.

Moreover, we imagine that you:

  • Bring a relevant University degree (Bachelor/Masters level) e.g. in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration. Furthermore higher education on Credit risks topics, combined with adequate knowledge of the financial sector is an advantage.
  • Possess strong financial analysis and accounting capabilities.
  • Have extensive knowledge about the scope of risk management and Credit risks including a very good understanding of current requirements in Credit risks management and governance.
  • Have experience in development and implementation of risk policies.
  • Speak and write at least one of the Scandinavian languages. Professional in oral and written English is a must.
  • Can communicate information that is timely, relevant, and audience tailored.
  • As the Credit Risk LoD2 function will evolve by time, leadership experience and the capacity to manage a small team and encourage a collaborative environment is crucial.
