Lind Capital is a highly specialized company, trading on the financial markets with a focus on market know-how, cutting-edge technology, data driven decisions, and automation. We are a proprietary trading company with zero external investors allowing our 20+ employees in our cool offices in Aarhus to focus on quantitative models that deliver high returns.

Quantitative Trader in Lind Capital

As a Quantitative Trader you will become part of our trading team with seven colleagues that all have a deep understanding of the equity market and the trading strategies we apply. You thrive with a geeky focus on beating the stock market with quantitative strategies while almost zero corporate stuff disturb you, although you do also like the odd beer, competition, or party with your colleagues.

The job

You will learn how to trade from our experienced traders to ensure that your business and trading understanding is at the highest level possible. In a typical week, you will trade 15-25 hours and spend the rest of your time analyzing how to improve our trading strategies and models. You will be team-working both within the trading team and with our data and technology teams.

More specifically, you will be tasked to:

• Execute our trading strategies within Europe and US stock market opening hours.

• Develop, test, and evaluate trading strategies including entry/exit points, hedging, sizing, and portfolio evaluations.

• Collaborate closely with Data Scientists, Software- and ML Engineers in cross-functional squads.

• Evaluate and test new trading ideas.

• Continuously grow and develop your skills on the job and via relevant courses/training.

The trading strategies we pursue are all based on a complex combination of tech, data, and market know-how. This means your ability to go beyond your comfort zone and engage with experts in other areas is paramount to our success.

You are a team player and have an open-minded attitude. You can communicate ideas and technical topics honestly and clearly – also to non-experts. You are eager to understand and find solutions, allowing you to quickly adapt to changing situations and come up with new ideas.

We expect that you have most or all of the following qualifications:

• You have an interest in the financial markets, and you are motivated to turn market know-how into income-generating trading strategies.

• You can do complex problem solving and explain it in a simple way.

• You are comfortable working with large amounts of intra-day data.

• You have experience with statistics and econometrics.

• You write clean and efficient Python code (or you can easily transition to Python from similar languages such as R).

• You are a strong user of Excel.

• You have experience with cross-functional teamwork.

• You have a relevant university level education.

It is a plus, but not a pre-requisite that you have experience and/or familiarity with the stock market, trading, other programming languages, machine learning, cloud service providers, SQL, and GIT.

Fluency in Danish is not a pre-requisite.

What you will meet at the office

We employ highly skilled people with different backgrounds. You will become part of an informal work environment where we focus on creating results across the organization, and where you will be empowered to make decisions. We generally dislike meetings, powerpoints, politics, and committees, but prefer to look at the code or the chart together over the screen for a few minutes and make the decisions there and then.

Practicalities

This position is based in Aarhus, Denmark. Our corporate language is English and non-Danish speakers and/or non-Danish citizens are encouraged to apply.

Work flexibility at Lind Capital is a two-way street. This means that when someone is sick, when the market is crashing, or during vacation periods, we will expect you to work additional hours. However, when you have a sick child, a dentist appointment, an important skiing trip, or whatever is important to you outside of work, then we will do what we can to make that possible for you.
