Team and Role
Since early 2022, it's become clear that the global landscape is shifting. Denmark, along with our NATO allies, is facing increasing challenges from foreign powers. In this rapidly changing environment, the ability to deliver new technologies quickly is essential to securing Denmark, our interests, and those of our allies. That's why Terma has created an Accelerator to speed up the development of critical technologies—and now we’re looking to grow further.

The Terma Accelerator is a dynamic, fast-moving team dedicated to accelerating cutting-edge technology development. We work hand-in-hand with the Danish Defence and allied forces to create solutions that meet their highest priorities. Through agile, user-focused development, we ensure that the end users are part of every step of the process. Our team is made up of AI specialists, software developers, drone and robotics experts, and senior business developers, and we’re expanding quickly.

What unites everyone in the Accelerator is a bias for action and a “whatever it takes” attitude. You won’t just be behind a desk—you’ll be hands-on, whether it’s climbing radar towers with a sensor in your backpack, spending days aboard a frigate gathering data, or launching newly designed drones in live military testing environments.

Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will cover:

• Build state-of-the-art AI capabilities. You'll work with vast amounts of untamed data, training deep learning models that push the boundaries of what's possible. As part of our team, you'll play a crucial role in evaluating models, ensuring top-tier quality and generalization. A solid foundation in statistics and mathematics will be key, and you'll need the ability to utilize and apply new deep learning techniques and architectures.
• Own data and AI modelling for specific projects: You'll take ownership of data and AI modeling for specific, impactful projects. In collaboration with a talented group of peers, you'll develop AI models to solve a diverse range of real-world challenges. You'll work in a dynamic, scalable environment, balancing speed and innovation with the highest security standards. Handling classified information and systems that matter, you’ll have a strong voice in maintaining military-grade security while driving development forward. Qualifications
Personality:

• Being successful is a team effort. We have built our team on mutual trust in each other’s expertise and an informal cooperative culture. We all understand what role we play in keeping Denmark safe and are motivated by the impact we can make individually and particularly as a team. We also understand that to move quickly, we sometimes must steer outside the normal way of doing things This puts higher demands on us as we have a bigger sense of ownership – this should be motivating to you. We challenge ourselves and one another through sparring and collaboration. Finally, we have a team of nice and friendly people, and we expect you to fit this description as well.

Education & Experience:

• For this role we expect you to hold a relevant degree in engineering, computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience. That said, we are more impressed by your crazy, interesting and impressive hobby projects than perfect grades. We would also rather “tame a lion than revive a corpse”. The Accelerator is very diverse team in terms of nationalities, educational backgrounds and age.

The working language is English.
