Location: Field Based – this role involves national travel across our sites

Carlsberg Marston’s Brewing Company (CMBC) is a leading, historic brewer in the UK. Formed out of a joint venture between Carlsberg UK and Marston’s PLC, we combine over 300 years of shared values, history, and heritage in UK brewing.
We are now recruiting for a Health and Safety Manager - Logistics to join us. Reporting to the Health and Safety Lead this role will be responsible for the ongoing management of Health, Safety & Environment within Logistics and Sales in collaboration with key stakeholder and other parts of the CMBC business.
Key Accountabilities:
- To identify, develop, implement and review to ensure continuous improvements and compliance with relevant H&S UK legislation, Group HSE policies and risks management plans within the Logistics and Sales for the UK CMBC business.
- Coordinate and drive several awareness campaigns which drive the right behaviour in managing risks and a mature safety culture.
- Engage key stakeholders in the drive towards zero accidents.
- Identify KPIs, leading indicators and project specific initiatives with key stakeholders which aim to reduce the number of accidents and sustain a zero-accident culture.
- Ensure monthly reporting is conducted on time and reviewed, and/or actions are focused on improvements and long-term fixes, including management of Logistics H&S budget.
- Facilitate and oversee RCA’s to drive specific improvements and prevent reoccurrence of issues that impact the safety of employees, contractors, visitors and labour hire staff.
- Coordinate implementation & ensuring standards (including where appropriate ISO) are being met throughout Logistics and Sales where applicable.
- Support and further develop communication across the CMBC network relating to ‘lessons learned’, best practice sharing & other related activities.
- Coordinate and/or facilitate relevant training programs for Logistics & Sales within the CMBC business.
- Provide an environment that encourages safety best practice, prevents injury, and avoids damage to the environment and/or property.
Experience and Key Attributes:
- Managerial experience desired – however, we would be happy to hear from someone who believe this could be their next step up!
- Relevant qualifications in Safety, Health and Environmental Management or combination of education in EHS or necessary experience from relative position in Logistics or Supply Chain.
- NEBOSH diploma or equivalent
- Fluent in English
