Boost the team
The Process Development department in Hørsholm focuses on developing and optimizing vaccine production processes and analytical methods. The department has 21 people divided into three teams: Upstream, Downstream, and Product Characterization and Wave Bag Development. You will join the Upstream Development team, reporting to its Manager and working with two scientists and four technicians. The team focuses on process development from cell vial thawing to final product in bioreactors, including establishing process parameters for cell growth and optimizing conditions for vaccine production post-cell infection/transfection.

Your tasks will be:
- Responsible for upstream process development, characterization, and optimization for present and new products and platforms
- Solve complex scientific challenges and technical issues in Process Development as well as from manufacturing departments.
- Design experimental studies and prepare project plans
- Writing and reviewing documents such as SOPs, protocols, reports, rationales, memos, etc.
- To work effectively with collaborators within the Process Development Department as well as other departments such as Research, Manufacturing Science and Technology, Production, Regulatory Affairs, Global IP, and Quality

Are you our next pioneer?
To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
- Master in Biochemistry, Chemical Eng., Pharmacy, or similar, preferably with a PhD but not a prerequisite
- 3-5 years of relevant experience from the biotech industry or academia is an advantage
- Experience with manufacturing processes in biological production will be an advantage
- Experience with different upstream platforms, including bioreactors, for cell and virus propagation is desirable
- Statistical data analysis knowledge
- Fluency in spoken and written English
