Job Title: Facilities Project Manager
Location: Midlands – Field Based with national travel to our depots, offices and breweries
Permanent – Full Time

You will be responsible for delivering excellent standards of facilities management and project management of property capital investments. The role will include the management of site facilities and the delivery of minor and major investment schemes from inception to completion across primarily logistics/warehousing sites and will be expected to develop strong business relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers and contractors.

Working with your Operational colleagues, you will deliver property investments to meet the needs of the business ensuring projects are accurately briefed and scoped out, presented in line with internal processes for approval and delivered on time and to budget ensuring all administration systems are appropriately updated on completion.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Managing financial budgets and build annual / three year plans in line with business needs.
  • Adopting a pro-active approach for the delivery of investments, ensuring clear structured plans, & best value is obtained from all projects (delivery of any new sites, upgrades and maintenance improvements including dilapidation works) ensuring they are delivered.
  • Ensuring all investment is procured in line with company policy, Carlsberg COM standards and processes.
  • Providing on-site support for significant facilities / maintenance activity and approve maintenance quotations above an agreed threshold. Works to be inspected on completion or as a minimum during visits to a site for other reasons.
  • Challenge the norm - strive to deliver best practice! Drive Health & Safety across your area with responsibility for compliance and safe working behaviours.
  • Grow good working relationships with users, colleagues & stakeholders in your area, driving a positive customer service agenda.
  • Direct management of our property project suppliers for all hard services bias workstreams to our portfolio.
  • Always consider sustainability within significant capital investment projects and incorporate an assessment to improve the decision-making process.
  • Where required becoming business lead and champion for property project investment initiatives.
  • Working with your Operational colleagues, monitor Post Audit and ROI performance of all investment activity and that corrective actions are taken as necessary.
  • To anticipate contractual and commercial risks, opportunities & threats, implementing control measures and actions where necessary.
  • Tactical management of projects, working with stakeholders as a multi-disciplinary team and to ensure minimal impact to operations.

Experience and Key Attributes:

  • Previous experience as a Project Manager, Surveyor or Facilities Management with a proven track record in a similar multi-site environment, ideally with a passion for logistics/FMCG.
  • Role model level leadership capability, skilled at developing capability through your team, with a track record of root cause analysis before creating an impact and delivering right first-time facilities management.
  • Build a strong performance culture with high levels of personal accountability.
  • Skilled at developing contractor / consultant relationships and building a collaborative working environment.
  • Track record of improving quality, service and cost performance and leading Health and Safety practices across our supplier base and site standards (IOSH qualification or prepared to achieve in first 12 months)
  • Self-motivated, with a high level of personal integrity and people skills
  • Organised, able to prioritise and deliver within high-pressure and ambiguous environments.
  • A business acumen partnered with a dedication to legality.
  • An analytical mind able to “see” the complexities of procedures and regulations with outstanding planning abilities.
