We are looking for Instrumentation Engineers to strengthen our Instrumentation Department in Asker. As an Engineer for Instrumentation you will contribute to Aibel’s exciting journey in the ongoing energy transition. Our portfolio covers manned and unmanned operated Oil and Gas topsides, High Voltage substations (HVAC or HVDC), Electrification projects and other industry projects.
About the position
Aibel’s Instrumentation Engineers are responsible for designing and specifying instrumentation systems solutions and strategies for engineering projects during the concept, study, and detail phases
Responsibilities and tasks include
- Define, specify and design field Instrumentation and metering solutions
- Develop, Technical requisitions, philosophies, and solutions
- Participate in and arrange meetings, workshops and reviews
- Interface with other disciplines, contractors and client
- Technical responsible (PRE) for instrument procurement packages
- Field Instrumentation lead (possibility in certain projects)
Qualifications
- Relevant Bachelor's or master's degree (or relevant technical qualifications)
- Experience with field instrumentation, metering and control valves engineering preferably within greenfield O&G projects on the NCS, in the Offshore Wind sector, or Hydrogen related projects - is benefical System design
- Thorough knowledge of field instrumentation design and configuration compliant with statutory requirements and relevant directives/standards such as NORSOK, DNV, ATEX, ISO, IEC
- Ability to understand and implement requirements stated in new standards

- Efficient communicator with strong proficiency in both spoken and written English
- Cooperative working attitude and acceptance for multicultural team environment
- A natural team player, but possess the ability to work independently
- Systematic and precise, with strong commitment to deadlines and quality standards
- Proactive and innovative, sharing experiences and improving methods with digital tools
