Development Team Lead

We are looking to hire a skilled Team Lead, to join our Alternative Payments Development team in Regensburg, reporting to the Head of Payments Engineering based in Copenhagen.

About the role
In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead, grow and support our development team who is working on:

• Maintaining existing legacy platform for processing SEPA Direct Debit transactions
• Migrating legacy processes into new environment (K8s, Service Bus)
• Providing Open Banking solutions to clients
• Developing new features and addons for the existing payment solutions
• Constantly improving stability and scalability of payment solutions

What you will be doing

• Team Management: grow, lead and motivate a team of highly technically skilled people, conduct employee appraisals which include one-to-one meetings with your team members, support them on their development
• Keep your team accountable on agreed processes and deliveries
• Support the Product Owner in managing backlogs, roadmaps and priorities
• Help facilitating and enforcing agile processes
• Ensure deliveries follow architectural and other engineering guidelines
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the business

What we are looking for
To be the right candidate for this position, we expect you to have minimum 5 years of experience from a similar role, where you have managed a technical delivery team as a hands-on and inspirational leader. You have a relevant educational background, and thorough experience with process and business expertise, preferably gained from either the IT industry or the financial sector. Furthermore, you have previously worked hands-on within software development or similar in the Microsoft tech stack. Having a technical background where you have worked as a developer yourself will be seen as an advantage.

You have project and delivery management experience and an in-depth understanding of both traditional and agile project management methodologies as well as engineering practices from requirement analysis all the way to CI/CD.

As a person you have an infectious and positive attitude, you are hands-on and enjoy taking ownership of the role as Development Team Lead. You are an open-minded leader who can motivate and coach your teams while balancing processes and ensuring delivery in time. Furthermore, we expect you to be a dependable and knowledge-sharing team player who corporates well at all levels in an organization.

As Banking Circle is an international company it´s a requirement, that you are fluent in English but also in German.
