This is an exciting and challenging role where you will use your commercial understanding and leadership experience to define new, innovative ways of collaboration and growth. You will lead an organization responsible for diverse markets across Europe, Sub Saharan Africa, Latin America, and Central Asia.

The position reports to the Senior Vice President (SVP) heading up the ROW region and is based in our new office in “Carlsberg byen” in Copenhagen.

How you will make an impact

As a Senior Director, you will lead six direct reports, including heads of commercial clusters and marketing.

Your responsibility will be to support and empower the distributor sales business unit, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment. The purpose is to fuel the strategic growth bets even more in prioritized markets, to strengthen the branded positions, drive synergies and efficiencies and continue the journey of building marketing excellence. A success criteria is to effectively manage and balance delivering the current Future26 strategy while at the same time developing distributor sales 2.0 in order to elevate the business to the next level.

We focus on collaboration in ROW, leveraging the development of branded positions with our distributor partners, based on Arla Foods’ Future26 strategy, consistently delivering sustainable growth to our farmer owners.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of 48 distributor sales colleagues, providing direction and fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment.
  • Drive results by empowering and supporting the team, enabling them to deliver and grow.
  • Develop and execute strategies to achieve the business unit’s financial goals, aiming for €300m by the end of the F26 strategy period.
  • Strengthen branded positions through collaboration with distributor partners.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
  • Drive synergies and continue building marketing excellence.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends to identify opportunities and challenges.

The role is based in Copenhagen with approximately 30-40 travel days a year and offers flexible work arrangements.

What will make you successful
The ideal candidate has a proven track record in senior commercial leadership roles within FMCG, preferably with international experience. Experience achieving exceptional results through collaboration with distributor partners is a plus. You will inspire and motivate a diverse team, achieving results through strong leadership skills. Your level of drive lies far above average, and your problem solving skills enables you to challenge the status quo and come up with ambitious solutions.

Expected qualifications:

  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities demonstrated through successful business initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, building and maintaining relationships with partners and stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of consumer trends in international markets.
  • Uphold integrity and good judgment in decision-making, fostering strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel and fluency in English.
