Then you might be our new Project Manager in our Center of Excellence Electronics area.
Your challenges
As our new Project Manager, you can be located at our locations in Denmark (Østbirk, Skjern, Thyregod, Kolding, or Hørsholm), and for the right candidate we are open to discuss employment outside of Denmark (e.g. at a VELUX location in Germany, Hungary etc.).
In this role, you will be part of the Center of Excellence (CoE) Electronics team, which is part of the Supply Engineering and Product Introduction organization in VELUX.
CoE Electronics are handling Project management, sourcing to EMS ore Internal factories. We have Electronic Technicians who are developing PCBA and Final Product Test equipment for the electronic factories. There is a well-established collaborative relationship with the Digitalization team, particularly around topics like data storage.
Your primary concentration will be on projects regarding Solar Cell products and technology, yet possessing expertise in Batteries could broaden your scope for your projects.
As Project Manager you will run your own end-to-end projects as well as be involved as project member and key input provider in other projects, e.g. projects coming from our Product Development organization. You will have strong interaction with our organizations responsible for developing our current and future products, as well as our quality and procurement organization.
Moreover, your responsibility will be to:
- Develop and deliver on multiple project timelines within the assigned suppliers on quality / cost / delivery / service / performance with a number of stakeholders (e.g. R&D , Purchasing, Quality and Manufacturing).
- Implement product changes and updates, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration.
- Provide input to our Category Manager in the allocation/forecasting of Product/material demands related to each strategic category.
- Provide direction from the quotation analysis with Specialists prepare from different suppliers, utilizing the total cost of ownership (TCO) tools and should cost of the parts, components, and Quality.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior management.
- Prepare and present project reports and documentation.
- Coordinate the approval process for new suppliers, ensuring compliance with company standards and requirements.
Your qualifications
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with the ability to keep the overview, and thereby refrain from going too much in the technical details. You are naturally curios and interested in the technical details, while you understand that your key role is to take the overall projects forward.
As a person, you bring a natural structure and positive attitude, which enables you to coordinate and lead several projects and tasks simultaneously – all directly or indirectly related to solar cell and battery technology and products. You have good organizational and prioritization skills, and you are able to communicate to and interact with your stakeholders in a professional manner.
It is required that you:
- Proven experience as Project Manager (min. 5 years) delivering on projects across several business areas, with a vast number of stakeholders across a global organization.
- Have comprehensive knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
- Bring knowledge and interest within the field of electronics.
- Speak and write English effortlessly.
It is considered beneficial when you:
- Bring knowledge and insights into the field of Solar Cell products and technology (as we utilize small sized solar cell products, it is great if you have experience with this type of product).
- Bring knowledge and insights into the field of Batteries and (small) DC Motors.
