On behalf of MacArtney Offshore Wind Solutions, Moment Search & Selection is looking for a skilled Automation Engineer who is interested in an exciting and challenging onsite position in Denmark.

As an Automation Engineer, you will become part of the Automation department, consisting of 9 employees, within the division MacArtney Offshore Wind Solutions in Denmark. You will be a member of a self-managed, cross-organizational team that follows projects from sales to delivery. As an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for software development for machines, as well as complete solutions for global customers within the renewables, maritime, and subsea industries.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

As an Automation Engineer, you will handle both large and small projects, where you will be responsible for independently specifying, programming, and commissioning. In other words, it will be your responsibility to realize your projects, focusing on electrical solutions and adherence to specifications. Additionally, your role will include:

• Close collaboration with Sales and Product Management to ensure the correct design is established in the initial phase.

• Specification of hardware/software, technical specifications, and conducting risk analyses.

• Designing software for the equipment, including PLC, motor drive, data collection, SCADA, etc.

• Preparing documentation for the solution, such as user manuals, maintenance guides, FAT/SAT tests, etc.

• Executing FAT tests.

• If necessary, participating in commissioning and SAT tests at the customer’s site.

• Participating in a 24/7 on-call rotation.

• Supporting the service department, among other duties.

The position involves a small amount of travel.

About you:

Your background includes a degree as an electrical engineer, marine engineer, or mechanical engineer. Alternatively, you may have another technical education, combined with relevant further education and experience in the automation of process plants or complex machinery. You have experience with PLC and HMI programming, as well as preparing electrical documentation, functional descriptions, and user manuals. You possess a wide range of skills in general electrical design and are proficient in English at a technical level.

You have a sharp overview and a strong sense of prioritization, which helps your department achieve its goals in the best possible way.
