Roles and Responsibilities
As a Footwear Developer/Technologist, you will play a pivotal role in guiding the development of our footwear products from concept to production. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Lead Product Development: Drive the creation of new silhouettes within Adult & Kids Lifestyle and Performance Footwear, ensuring all designs align with our strategy, quality standards, and hummel DNA. Manage prototypes and sample deadlines.
• Technical Expertise: Develop new outsoles, midsoles, and uppers, and analyze technical blueprints, patterns, and materials from both performance and functional perspectives.
• Fit and Wear Testing: Oversee fit and wear testing processes, integrating feedback into product improvements and ensuring alignment with hummel measurement guidelines.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to refine production processes, troubleshoot issues, and drive innovation through new materials and technologies.
• Cost and Quality Management: Manage costs within budget, collaborate on material sourcing, conduct store quality tests, and work with buying and CSR teams to resolve issues and implement seasonal improvements.

We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented colleague who can balance creativity with technical know-how. Our ideal candidate is not just a developer but an innovator who can drive change and set new standards in the footwear industry.

Key qualifications include:

• Educational Background: 3-5 years of relevant education in product development with a focus on footwear.
• Experience: Extensive knowledge of footwear manufacturing processes, materials, and industry standards.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and 3D creation software (advantageous).
• Personal Skills: Strong project management skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. Passion for sustainability and innovation is a plus.
