Line Manager – Windows Server Platform Services
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Line Manager to lead our Windows Server Services team. If you are a people-centric leader with a proven ability to manage diverse teams of 12+ IT professionals in a multinational environment, and you possess a strong background in Windows Server and VMware Platform Services within the IT infrastructure outsourcing business, this could be the ideal role for you.
Team Overview:
You will manage a team responsible for the operational support and project management of over 5,000 Windows servers (both physical and virtual). The team, currently consisting of 10 members, is set to expand to 20+ as the business grows. You will lead a global team, working closely with colleagues in Denmark, the Philippines, and from mid-2025, Hungary. Communication is predominantly in English via online platforms such as MS Teams. In addition to core Windows Server operations, the team also handles various feature services, such as print services.
Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Management: Oversee the day-to-day activities of your team, including workload management, setting goals, and ensuring timely project delivery. Lead with a focus on team development and engagement.
• Performance & Development: Conduct regular performance reviews, address training and development needs, and foster a positive, inclusive team environment. You will also handle technology challenges and operational priorities for your direct reports.
• Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Lead efforts to drive continuous improvement initiatives, including automation, optimization, and process enhancements. Ensure that the team is always working efficiently and adapting to technological advancements.
• Conflict Resolution & Support: Actively listen to team feedback, address issues promptly, and manage any conflicts that arise, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
• Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Build strong partnerships with HR, ensuring adherence to key processes such as performance management, compensation planning, and employee retention. Collaborate closely with other delivery centers in Denmark, the Philippines, and Hungary to ensure consistent and aligned service delivery.
• Reporting & KPIs: Regularly track and report on key metrics and KPIs to ensure that team performance aligns with business objectives, proactively identifying areas for improvement.

• Leadership in IT Operations: Proven ability to lead and manage large teams (15+) of IT professionals, including operational engineers and project consultants, with varied levels of expertise and seniority.
• Technical Expertise: Solid technical knowledge of Windows Server and VMware platform services, with a deep understanding of IT infrastructure, industry best practices, and benchmarks.
• Global Team Management: Experience managing global teams in a multinational environment, with strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
• ITSM & Agile Proficiency: Strong understanding of ITSM processes and Agile methodologies, with experience implementing best practices for operational efficiency.
• Experience in IT Outsourcing: Familiarity with IT Operations and IT Outsourcing models, and a solid grasp of the business metrics and performance indicators critical to success in these environments.
• Collaboration & Teamwork: Proven ability to foster collaboration across teams and geographies to ensure effective service delivery and operational success.
• Positive Leadership Style: A proactive, positive attitude, open-minded approach, and a strong team-player mentality.
